Avocado Green Mattress needed images of its new brick-and-mortar location opening in Georgetown, the retail heart of Washington, D.C. They were intent on capturing the space not as a simple shopping environment, but a lifestyle-based Experience Center. The goal was to emphasize the breadth of the showroom, its product line, and its charm.
Natural light at the front of the store contrasted against the windowless space in the back, creating an unique challenge for visual cohesion, and a tight shoot window barred any artificial lighting setup or prop styling. Leaning into the constraints, we produced a set of documentary-style images that varied from wide, environmental frames of the bright entryway area to cozy vignettes of ambient-lit alcoves in the rear. The result is a dynamic archive of lifestyle images for use across brand, web, and press.
