In December 2025, I worked with their team and its parent company, Ash Hotels, to create lifestyle imagery of my stay at the property. Starting with research, I studied the current creative direction of photography throughout the Neptune brand ecosystem and, from there, prepared a general shot list and visual concept. Upon arriving at the hotel, the weather had turned quite overcast and snowy. My original approach of mimicking the brighter, airier imagery from their website was no longer feasible, so I quickly pivoted. Knowing that Neptune was in the midst of a rebrand that catered heavily towards a boutique, seaside aesthetic, I leaned into its burgeoning identity as an oasis, embracing the dimly lit elements of the room and property to convey a sense of warm, cozy refuge from the elements.
